Every Vote Counts!

Here in Philadelphia, things are really starting to heat up (and it’s only March). Even though the Republican nomination is sewn up, the Democratic primary is coming to town in full force. Bus stops preach the message of hope and campaign ads talk passionately about change. It’s a different feel for a state normally an afterthought in the doldrums of late primary season. It seems that every cubicle, street corner and marketplace is buzzing with the same question, “Who will win—Barack or Hillary?

The youth vote is cited for Obama. The blue-collar vote is assured for Clinton (or so the news outlets keep saying and saying). Philadelphia has become a staple on political talk shows and people are actually taking time in the train stations to register with one party or the other (at least I did the other night).

So, it is in this primary season, with Democracy in the air, I wanted to tell everyone to keep an eye out for Promo Marketing’s very own version of Rock the Vote!

Our 2008 Supplier Excellence Awards will be coming out in May, but we want you to vote long before that. Keep an eye out for our upcoming call for votes, where you decide who will win (check back later this week for a link to the survey). While it’s no John, Barack, or Hillary, we feel that our very own Leed’s, Prime or Norwood debate has some merits of its own.

With more than 20 different industry categories and scores of companies to vote for, everyone is sure to have an opinion on something. Last year’s issue, which included a list of top 50 suppliers as well as winners in individual categories, was extremely popular. This year, we want to give everyone a chance to weigh in on the pressing issues of the industry: Whose lanyard is best? Whose Web site rocks? And, of course, which company’s customer service is unbeatable? All Promomarketing.com members will be eligible to vote, so put your opinion caps on, the time is coming.

Stay tuned …
